With all respect. Wrong notes, I can't understand the musical idea. In this music have two characters: The guy and the brook. Where's the brook, or the guy?

Hands down the best version I've ever heard for this piece. People always says Mullerin is more for tenors, but I never heard a tenor that move me as much as this version for this piece. When he opens his mouth it feels like the whole world has stopped.

Beautifully sung. Amazing how the sound his voice is at odds with the sweat on his forehead <3

All said, this is one of Schubet's most demanding songs (in terms of tessitura). I am disappointed the last stanza was omitted...

@jstarro59 Yah, I love the man's singing in general, but this is way below his standard. There are several wrong rhythms and he sounds tired.

world class voice... ok technique.. but he seems to need alot of effort to sing this song.. .. ofcourse he would sing better if he didnt have "die noten".. in front of his face.... a lot of lesser known singers can sing this much better... people assume that it is great because he is famous... .. take a closer look..
