1968-1969 season, the story of newcastle's first european venture.
The early rounds up to and including the 1st leg of the final, against Ujpest Doza, at St James' Park . A mixture of newspaper reports and game footage.
A nostalgic trip back - how crushed were we on those terraces but awesome atmosphere, something that has been dimished a bit with all seater stadiums.. . I'm somewhere in the middle of the leazes end, halfway up the terrace behind the goal :). happy days
only seems like yesterday, brilliant times, happy days

Nice post. An achievement that perhaps warrants greater praise, especially bearing in mind that Feyenoord (beaten 4-0 by the Toon Army) became European champions the following season!
