I beg to differ with this "expert." Please, for proper organization of receipts you should always encrypt the information, store it in fire-proof containers that are properly protected by infrared security beams and guard dogs.
Are people really that stupid that they need to be told this basic information???

Easiest way to avoid an audit is by not avoiding. Let it come to you. Filing taxes is completely Voluntary. At least for wages and personal income. If you get audited, simply request the laws that require you as an individual to pay. And never fall for that "Enforcement of the law is the law" crap. Income taxes as defined by the Supreme Court and indeed the constitution (the highest authority on this subject) are gains from corporate activity. Not wages. You should make sure the agent knows it.
