The patient was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma. SCC for short is a skin cancer that almost always stays on the skin and is caused by too much sun exposure or too many sun burns in a persons lifetime. Due to the nature and location of the skin cancer the best option was to perform an Electrodessication and Currettage (ED&C).

  • ouch =( ...looks painful but I would much rather have this done then have skin cancer . Although I woke up this morning and I felt something painful on my upper arm that seriously like just appeared over night it felt like . I thought it was maybe a blemish but my mom said she thinks it was from tanning . I dont tan anymore its been over a yr . But its red , raised and painful . should I go to the derm ???

  • The doctor is kind of sexy.

  • How can you be sure of your clearance margins using this technique?

  • It is very simple, people MUST be more conscious of the damage they are causeing to themselves when they are exposing their sking to the sun so frequently. There is more informaiton on this topic available for physicians at Symposier site.
