A classic by the renowned flugelhorn player, Chuck Mangione: a song he wrote for his mother.

  • I keep looking for this from Chuck, and cannot find it. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and I believe it won him his first grammy.

Just an amazing blend of instruments and a simple yet elegant melody line... just perfect.

    Thanks SOOOOO much for posting.

  • This is the perfect song

  • perhaps one of the most beautiful songs that he has written, thanks from Italy

  • This song is one of the most uplifting things I have ever listened to. I bought this album when it was first released and it holds very great and painful memories for me. If anyone can post his "The Day After (Our First Night Together) I would be extremely grateful. Another great song. Sorry Guys, I'm an old guy and I just figured out how to post tonight. What I loved bout Chuck is that he does these instumentals and yet I know the "words" to these songs in my heart. Thanks again.

  • His music brought a new understanding to young people. Such personal feelings went into all his writing, personal but universal!

  • I absolutely LOVE this song! I still have the LP (somewhere) from back in the day and am grateful that I can hear this in it's entirety and not the re-issued version!!!

  • I have missed this tune. I had the LP long ago, it's now gone. Thanks for making the tune available

  • Great stuff, thanks so much for uploading.

  • Thanks for posting this to YouTube. I have fond memories of this music. I live in the Louisville, KY area and when I was in high school in the mid 70's, the local TV station would play this music as they ran the local school "SNOW DAY" closings. Every time I hear the music I think of sledding and partying with my friends around a camp-fire.

  • So powerful, so strong!! Love it from the first time I heard..... Long ago.

    Thank you

  • thank you and i love you sir. great song to smoke a cigar with. To the one person who disliked you are a retard.

  • this brings tears in my eyes, blurry memories of distant but happy past times, oh blessed childhood, sometimes I miss you so much.
