The problem with buying a mate for a bird is that they seldom want anything to do with you after that. They become so bonded to their mate that you become way less important to them. I've seen this happen with parrotlets and lovebirds.

You really should get this little fellow another budgie. He isnt happy, thats maladjustment. Hes trying to mate with this puppet and trying to feed it. And btw he could also get pretty sick, cause his crop will get infected from feeding that puppet. Please think about it. You would make your little bird very happy, I promise.
