Tricks and intimidation led to arrests of nearly 40,000 New Yorkers each year for a misdemeanor that only brings a $100 ticket. Never show your concealed weed to a cop . . .
This video is in response to Nat Hentoff's Village Voice story, and his request for help in publicizing this issue and changing this disgusting policy that feeds non-criminals to the corporate prison industry in New York State.

Its not just "corporate prisons" but that your so-called government is also a corporation named "The City of New York". They run commercial courts (Admiralty Law) as a private business to collect for their creditors.

I wish some cops would get over weed. They used it, most Americans use it. For all the great work the police do in society, people will always fear, rather than respect, the police when their conduct can lead to depravation of liberty. Some people deserve it to be locked up. Pot smokers do not. I don's smoke pot and I have a lot of respect for the law. But this is one very stupid law. Police have discretion... USE IT.

This is why civillian control of the police and of police-minded people is so important. This guy with "god" in his username feels trickery and intimidation that results in actual arrests of blacks and latinos for something that only warrants a ticket has a disturbed point of view. Cops are public servants. When they forget to serve ALL members of the public, they can become a menace to the people they are supposed to serve. It is sad when those hired to help society, hurt society instead.

Do you actually believe the stuff that comes out of your mouths? Hey, I have a crazy idea! Why don't you become a cop and walk a foot-post in East New York all by yourself? You will see how fast your opinions on NYPD policy change. In fact, just to get a taste, become an Auxiliary cop and walk that foot-post.
