@12345Cartmen Because it's fake. There was no camera man close to him when it actually happened, but they later filmed the shots you see, where they just re-enacted it. It's sad, but that's what you get in all reality shows now. Lots of fake stuff.

@12345Cartmen then, there wouldn't be all the drama! he was panicking, which is completely different from drowning. Drowning means water is getting in your lungs.

@6116merl not really the point of the show, though. I think it's just showing them that there is a whole world out there and giving them the choice of whether or not to explore it.

Look around at the rest of the world and I don't think things are "so much better"

Maybe the Amish way of life is not perfect either but I think their is much to be said for it and much to be learnd from it.
