Dana........why did you kill off Jack, he was such a hunk.....I am devastated.... why??? he was such an important part of your books...

@magafdy1 I didn't know he was going to die until I wrote that scene. Look at it this way--he died protecting the woman he loved, and even in the full knowledge that he was going to die, he would have done it anyway.

So you know, I was pretty devasted myself. I was sobbing at the end of that scene. I had to quit work for the rest of the day.

I've almost finished reading each beloved (to me, any way) one of them. Is it just me having senior moments or is "Hunter's Moon" missing from kindle? And, no thanks, Dana, I'm not ready to get over Jack's death if I can't even read about it!

@barklessbrats We're publishing the first nine Kates one book per month. Killing Grounds just came out, and Hunter's Moon should be up before the end of October. (And I'm not over Jack dying myself, if it comes to that.)

Ms, Stabenow, I work with your cousin John in Oklahoma. He turned me toward your novels. I lived in Bethel for 7 years and have a brother and sister still living there now, I worked for Wein Air Alaska for 10 years in Bethel, Aniak, Anchorage, and Prudhoe Bay. Your books are a treat for me because they are soo real and accurate of life in the Bush. Thanks for taking me back to the great land of the north. It makes me yearn for a simplier, and more quieter lifestyle.
