Nothing fancy, just a binary white/red::OK/notOK interface to our in-house monitoring app. Built using an X10 firecracker kit, Debian and Bottlerocket. Done while working at Rutgers University around Xmas of 2004.

  • BTW, all ports on the switch with the removed uplink are empty :D

UR Monitoring system is malfunctioning ;)

  • We networking guys are selfish jerks. We care more about the status of the switches management IP than any0 servers that may be attached to it :).
