Live at Mellon Arena, June 23, 2006. Eddie says that Pittsburgh isn't their favorite place on the planet and gets joints thrown on stage in response. He fondly remembers opening for the Rolling Stones in 2005 at PNC Park and the band plays Waiting on a Friend.

  • I wish i could get people to just shower me with joints, that would be nice.

  • @sympathyftd i like the rolling stones. i just think eddie did a better job singing this song. (of course im biased since i think eddie has the best voice ever) normally im not a fan of what other bands do with covers, but a few artists can take a song and make it just as good or even better, such as pearl jam or tom petty or johnny cash.

  • @marvelboy04 that statement just put you to shame. vedder is great, however mick is the foundation of rock and roll and one of vedder's major influences. don't be hater...and do some youtube research on the stones, especially anything mid-70's. mick was the man! now he's still the man, just an old man. i do love tribute's and they nailed this one...vedder is a cool dude. take a lesson from him.

  • I have video of the entire concert and he never said that.

  • man...you just mentioned the bands i hate the most....youre totally right...those are shit bands...stones & pearl jam are 2 of the grandest bands ever!!! :)

  • ajja...i love pearl jam but eddie wishes he had an exile on main street in his resume...he knows it....at least mike knows it....ive heard him saying that before ;)

  • actually mick has tremendous energy and like vedder is a great songwriter. The STones are great and so are pearl jam. Shit bands include, but are not limited to; Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots, linkin park, kid rock, motley crue, deff leppard, limp bizkit, sum 41, creed, and the shit list goes on and on.

  • I wish someone had the video from this concert where Eddie says that he hates the Mellon Arena and can't wait till the Pens get a new place

  • pj ROCKS!!!!

  • saw them at PNC with the Stones-best show i have ever saw,my two fave bands on the same stage--FUCKIN WOW MAN!!
