Part 3 of a 3-hour Leading EDGE Seminar on "Energy Efficiency in Action," held for graduate students at Duke University. Presented by the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. In this section, Ingersoll Rand's Pat Garibay and Susan Burek describe the complex process of selling energy efficiency solutions to distracted, capital-constrained customers, and how to make a compelling business case. Seminar participants then worked in small groups to identify effective strategies for overcoming the rhetoric/reality gap that inhibits energy efficiency investment.
