Pro Cathedral Paddy Doyle and Mary Smith refused entry. 20/02/2011

Paddy Doyle, author of the God Squad which detailed his abuse in Roman Catholic run institutions in Ireland, is refused entry to the Pro Cathedral. The occasion was a ceremonial foot washing of a selected number of victims.

In the days that followed, one of the people who did take part in the Marlborough St Foot Spa, Chirstine Buckley was interviewed by TV3. During the program Christine told a blatant lie concerning John Ayres, one of the protesters outside the Pro Cathedral that day.

Diarmuid Martin on discovering that Paddy and Mary had not been allowed in apologised after the ceremony outside the church.

lol. "I guarantee you you won't get 20 yards of him, the security is so tight". What a joke and a bear faced catholic liar. Others had no problem inside, in fact one person walked up onto to the altar and spoke for 5 minutes with out interruption.

@realzoomy I use 'claims' in a factual sense, rather that an accusative sense, which you seen to have taken. I do not know Mr Doyle, nor was I present when he claims to have been Abused, therefore I cannot know what happened, hence 'claims', which refers to my lack of knowledge, rather that accusing him of something. Not that I am fussed either way. P.S. wasn't he in a home run by nuns, not priests therefore...........

@LadyPortia777 Pope Hadrain I did allow the Normans, not english as england did not exist, to reform the church in ireland, then they did stay. It was under Henry VIII that Ireland was 'enslaved' by the english crown. Catholics are it is claimed 94% of the total pop, but I suspect by practice rates it is much lower, the recent census will clear that up. So not the 'people of Erin, which includes non catholics did not pay for the building. P.s. I believe I am saved by Christ, not men.
