lead free solder is melted over a candle
when in liquid form it moves and reacts just like mercury

in the video i poured most of it onto a metal spoon
the metal cools and becomes a solid almost insantly in the shape of whatever it cools in
i then melt it again in the first spoon

the total cost of all of the metal is about £4 so its much cheaper than mercury

i have no idea how toxic it is but im pretty sure its almost all tin
i did have a solder fume extactor fan on so i should be safe from any fumes
