Part of the "A Battlefield Tourist" series, adventure traveler/journalist, David Tate, joins up with the British Army (1st Bn, Rifles) as they mentor the Afghan National Army in Musa Qala, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

In this story, follow along as the Afghans and British troops probe the front line in a Taliban infested area. This is a natural sound version of a similar report. There is NO voiceover February, 2009.

  • Best army in the world fact, and the same for the whole of the British Armed Forces.

  • @Elitepoosniff What the hell is "facked"? do you mean fact?

  • @007Influence i think because it was an unpopular war ppl think and act this way, they dont seem to have any idea what life out there is like for the average soldier or do they care, which is really sad imo, i have relatives in the army and they have the same problems back home, the fact is all the guys out there are doing a great job in the worse possible circumstances, dont let a few idiots get u down mate.

  • @007Influence

Its only the dickheads and ignorant who ridiule you , they are ussually the younger element but the older guys know just what you have sacrificed for us - thanks

  • I'm sick of being ridiculed and looked down on for being in the army. I just finished my 6 month deployment in Afghanistan and I thought I would come home loved and appreciated, fact is no one gave a shit and I don't have many friends now and lost touch with my family because of the 6 month shift, worst career choice of my life and now I have to pay the price =(

  • Fact.

  • the tommies

  • Australia has the best commonwealth military outside of the british one, canada is good, but Australia is more well equiped and trained, plus Australia has got the experience, something the canadians dont have (vietnam for one).
