@PointyMetalObjects Also, I suggest a roll of heavy duct tape, contractors' garbage bags, and cheap, thick work gloves. If windows are blown out, or other broken glass and debris are lying around, it'll all pay off.

@wb5mgr I agree. A cheap crowbar costs less than $10, and quality knife made from 440C stainless steel (though not the best) is sufficient for your cutting needs. Cold Steel makes machetes for less than $20, and you may want to consider one of their fixed blades as well. Avoid fancy looking, but poorly made knives. You'll figure out why they're so cheap when they snap or fall apart.

@CyberCacique1 Unless you're hell bent on having nuts (who am I to judge?), I'd say avoid that kind of stuff entirely. Even brown rice doesn't keep as long as white rice for the same reason. Hydrogenated fats like shortening are your best bet for long term storage, since that's what the food industry designed them for. Natural oils will not end well. PS, check out Zombie Tactics' channel. Really informative.

@wbmstr8028 Great comment. Thanks!
Also, any foods (such as nuts) that are high in fat will eventually go rancid.

@PointyMetalObjects Very true. Timely rotation is crucial. :)

Thank you for making a prepping video without rednecks, excessive gun footage, and talk about zombies, the government, or aliens. Makes the rest of us preppers look sane.

@PointyMetalObjects LOL! This is the funniest thing I've read all day. ;)

Nice Kit, consider adding a fixed blade knife or hatchet for serious cutting, 12" prybar in case u have to force a door, scissors, water container to dispense into & a pot to boil in, dividers in the box so u can organize kit, emergency candles + a flashlight. Good start though.
