Training Camp: Omin Child & Kymberli Lauren (27 May 2008)

Underground Hip Hop in the coolest neighborhood in NYC: The East Village!

Here we have Omin Child and Kymberli Lauren competing for a $1,000 Grand Prize at the Training Camp Showcase, which is held every month at the Pyramid club in the East Village. (The Pyramid is located on Avenue A between 6th and 7th streets in Manhattan.) It's been going 6 years strong. Underground Artists can get on for $100 and compete for $1,000. The event is judged by reputable industry personnel. It's organized by one Mental Supreme.

On this night there were about 20 artists competing and, this act took third place (my boy AMO1 took first place). Well, I do like these guys, I think they have a lot of potential, and I feel that they have what it takes to make it. So I guess we'll see what happens!

Check out Miss Kymberli, though; talented and pretty, huh? She also has a nice personality too! Man, my plan was to record their whole performance but they didn't know when they were going to be on. So I stepped outside to politic with AMO and then I hear them actually performing, at which point I ran inside as quickly as I could. Anyway, I uploaded this because I decided it was still good enough to upload. Check it out!
