The EV1 was not a good car. It was quick and had some advanced technology. But it was an expensive hunk of junk. Oh well. At least some electric cars are actually cool like the Tesla Model S. It's Motortrend's Car of the Year and has received many other similar honors.

I heard that the ads for the EV1 were made to be intentionally creepy and unsettling to put people off. Seems like a good way to do it. However, wouldn't it have been cheaper and easier to kill off the car simply by not advertising or building it?
