The audiences in the bigger cinema/thatres were very responsive (in the UK). I remember seeing him on the 1967 Jimi Hendrix tour in Manchester. We all loved him!!

Sheesh... looks like he's singing at the Zombie Ball. I don't understand WHY they didn't get into the music. Can you imagine what it must have been like to play to an unreponsive audience ? He's so talented, has a magnificent voice and is extremely handsome. The girls should have been going wild.

This vid looks like it is from the 60s If even not earlier. I guess it was inapropriate to that time to turn wild and shriek if you have seen a corpse when your favourite musician plays
