Update- A few days after filming this video I was showing signs of pre-eclampsia (hence my swelling in this video which I never noticed until I started editing this). Pre-eclampsia is a potentially dangerous pregnancy condition that's bad for both mummy and baby. I was shocked when I came in for my monthly check up and they told me this from my tests and BP test as I had been feeling fine and the swelling that I had wasn't sudden like they warned to look out for. Baby and I are doing fine but I do need to go in every few days to be monitored and tested and if there is any significant increase in my pre-eclampsia symptoms then they may have to induce me. I'm not too worried as I am now full term so if the baby came now he/she would be ready for the world but this fact aside I was very scared at first as I just couldn't understand why this was happening to me as I thought I didn't fit into the leading factors of developing pre-eclampsia and eclampsia which are obesity, diabetes, the over 40's, and genetics. However I soon found out that my Mother had had pre-eclampsia with my brother and sister but it never dawned on us as back then it was called Toxic Poisoning. Because of this I highly recommend daughters to speak to their Mothers about any complications they may have had all those years ago so nothing is missed. It is also genetically possible for you to develop pre-eclampsia if your sister has had it too.
If you would like to read up some more about this condition then here is a handy website which explains everything you'll need to know about pre-eclampsia

  • Congrats Jodie and Hubby, this is the best news I've heard so far this year. I'm going through a Separation at the moment. We didn't end up having kids but we were together for 16 years. Your news has taken my mind off my problems for a little while :) Karenx
