Heroes

(Yes, that is the Survivor theme song playing.)
This video, quite basically, is just here to point out that all the people in this video are, at least to me, heroes.
I'm fifteen years old, very young and very unaware of the world around me. Practically the only thing I do happen to know is that I'm gay and that the world is especially mean to people like me.
That is why these people in this video are so important to me. They have proven on a very real and fundamental level that being gay doesn't stop you from being whatever it is you want to be. It doesn't limit you. And it won't stop you. Oh, it might slow you down some, but you'll keep rolling on if you really and truly believe in yourself above all.
These people are something like mentors to me, even though none of them know that I even exist, which I find almost funny. I look up to a group of people who I will probably never meet. But, I guess I can deal with that.
(And yes, Kate Clinton should be in this video too, but I don't have any video of her at my disposal. But she's one of these heroes too.)
