  • gripen made Brazil ....

  • @CapKorzeniowski , the IAF kicked out the Gripen from the competition for the MMRCA . India will make his choice betwen Eurofighter and Rafale , for a total of 126 planes .

  • is the IAF interested in the Gripen?

  • @VitzTheLocutor Stealth no longer exists. Machines that can read the latent heat from an aircraft friction in the air. So much for Stealth.

  • @indianajonesanaheim2 Gripen is much, much cheaper, you can't compare them..... Just the fact that gripen is a pretty old plane but is still top 5 in the world and the cheapest one of te top planes makes me wonder why so few countries use it. When gripen was new it was the very best plane in the world, but people still bought the more expensive planes from russia and america, why? Propably because suck up to eather USA or Russia. Sweden does'nt have the "diplomatic push" like USA or Russia...

  • Very good fighter plane Indian should have to purchase this eagle.

  • @indianajonesanaheim2 You shouldn't compare the two crafts directly, but better think what would be better for a country to buy. 1 F-22 or 4 JAS-39? On interception, I am not sure that 1 F-22 can make it up against 4 JAS-39 (the F-22 will run out of missiles, lol). And in strike role, aside from the fact that the F-22 is not a strike craft, 4 aicrafts can deliver more payload and in many places than one, and if the F-22 tryies to intercept them, it cannot be in all places at once.

  • india airforce already canceld the deal and they are after russian indian pa50 stealth fighter now

  • @JetMechMA I got that totally wrong. It was Swiss watch makers who drilled a hole in America's tiniest drill bit. Sorry. My compliments to the Swedes still stand.

  • @Millinillion Gripen looks awesome to me. The only concern I would have is how do the canards affect the pilot's visibility. But overall I would think that the canard design is more agile than tail mounted pitch controls. Seems pretty forward thinking to me.
