Seeing as I haven't uploaded anything for a while I thought I'd knock off this quick romp through this great O'Carolan tune :-) Based on an arrangement by John Renbourn

  • very nice sir what a lovely tune i had to replay

  • thank you ! :-)

  • Great stuff - its nice to see so many Renbourn fans on youtube, and you're also a Northerner!! Well played sir. If that is a guitar made by you it sounds fantastic.

  • Yes, indeed, jsut cast an eye obver your videos, they're great, keep 'em coming :-) Yes, the guitar is one of mine :-)

  • This is one of my favorites. It's incredible that this is the stuff John Renbourn was playing a good 35 years ago, when he was only 25 or so, and even then he attacked each note perfectly!

  • I know, he is just the best technically, he must have done nothing else but play play play play to get like that :-)

Glad to hear you're building ! Great stuff :-) Its got to be the Cumpiano and Natelson book, Guitarmaking - covers everything :-) Also, the DVDs you get form Stewmac, the 5 dvd set by some bloke whose name escapes me :-) Fir the curved back and top i found a radiused dish with sticky back sandpaper the best and most reliable option. I hope to degbut a new OM later this year :-)

  • One of my favourites also.Davy Graham's version is great as well.I followed your recommendation and bought Sloane's manual.A great"starter" as you remarked, but perhaps short on some of the trickier points of construction.I'm terrified of bodging fitting the curved and sloping back after so much work.Could you please advise on the next book to buy? (I'm making two Manson small-bodied)Hope you're OK and back in work.

  • Very nice playing! 5*****

  • nice pickin, keep it up brother!
