@esh325 yes but they are talking about m855 out of an m4. I agree your not getting reliable fragmentation at range with that hence other rds used now I've mentioned before. I'm with ya on any rd can kill and I have army doctors tests saying it can do great damage as well. And you an I know Bob there didn't quite understand the ballistic charts and data lol. Fackler shot more then ballistics gel in his tests.

my take on the 5.56mm is that it can do great damage but it doesn't do it consistently too many factors interfere w/ its effectiveness. And why are the bothering to train pogues&fobbits with rifles&bullets, the should use a computer for training--just kidding.

@bob101579 There's no such thing as knockdown power. And ballistic gelatin is not the end all my friend. I have a report by an army doctor where he said the 5.56x45 could do very minimal wounds rather then devastating.

@THE13EARJEW I wouldn't want to get hit by a .22 LR even. All rounds can kill you, but the question is how reliability can it kill? There is a lot of reports that suggest the 5.56x45 is not lethal enough.
