In Mark 1:14 it says that Jesus came preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God. What can be so plain. Why don't people let the bible interpret itself instead of offering human reasoning. The kingdom of God is the government of god coming to earth when jesus returns. Rev 5:10 states we are to be kings and priests on earth under God's government.
@JGsGarden I am working on a thorough video response to your question, but let me address it briefly here. The gospel is a proclamation (Is 61:1, Luke 4:18) of the finished work of Christ on behalf of his people - it is not an offer. Its purpose is to inform those with ears to hear of what the Lord has done for them, and to command them to live accordingly. Eternal salvation is not dependent on faith; faith is dependent upon eternal salvation (Gal 5:22, I John 5:1). God bless.
@theearstohear how do you suggest telling unbelievers of the Gospel? What purpose do you see in Evangelism? As a new believer and heavily studying (and confused), and strongly moving towards a pretty hyper-Calvinist position on Salvation, I feel paralyzed when I consider it's Evangelist implications.
"How do I get included in that? Understand... repent... believe... trust..." Paul said "there is none that understandeth" and "the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." Dever is a good example of Neo-Cal hogwash promoted as salvation by sovereign grace. Eternal salvation is based on the obedience of one (Romans 5:19), not two. Christ got the job done (Heb 10:14).
Isaiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
@ch0zen Actually the Good news is written in Luke 2. That the saviour of the world was born. As for the KoH or the KoG, I believe it was always here, and not an event to come as most believe. It is inside us.
@SwordofManticorE the first 15seconds pretty much talks about the Kingdom of God in it's fullness, that of which is coming soon. Christ's death, is how we are getting there... praise be to God.
