Nothing is the answer to those questions, so your comment is irrelevant.

Furthemore, culture is not something one follows - it is in one's blood, and unlike the odious, depressing cult of islam, is an essential part of a nation.

I have lived in 3 muslim countries and have seen small boys beaten and bloodied by imams because they had not learnt the koran to their satisfaction.

I need to see no more.

@throbule I know you posted this message a month ago, I think you speak for yourself in your comment, because everyone is different, whether people want to follow their culture or not is entirely upto them and also the religion 'Islam' does not stop a person from following his culture but betters it in the brightest of light : ), Yes religion is a choice your right and maybe if you take your time to understand something you may appreciate it...

My point is this: Gambian culture will always come before any religion.

Culture is what we are - it is our indentity and has been linked to our blood for thousands of years.

A religion is only a choice and is no part of what makes us human, and without religion, we are still human, and still possess our culture.

People who are guided by fantasy make the biggest mistakesof all, and I find that people show even more humanity without religion.
