McConkie: "There is and can only be one who is supreme, who is the head and to whom all others are subject". Becoming like God is not saying we will ever be equal to Him, frankly we won't and can't He, and only He, will forever be worshipped by us.

What's vague to you is clear to me. Binding ecumenical Christian council produced the Nicene Creed that everyone believes, so forgive me if I don't take your word for it, neo-Arian.

The relatively few scriptures in John that say that God and Jesus Christ are "one" refers to them being of one mind and purpose as explained in John 17. But these vauge metaphors are latched onto because it support the false doctrine of the Trinity and other scripture that cleary states Jesus and God are separate beings are ignored - it quite surprising that this belief is still the core belief of "mainstream christians" since it has no real foundation in scripture.

If you can't accept John 1 which clearly says: Word was from the beginning and was God, and was made flesh, and is Jesus Christ, then you won't accept anything, so I'll stop.
