So ... yes, I am knowledgeable about Ares and Gab's possibility relationship. I am writing a very long fan fiction in Italian about them, and many people likes it. Xena died in Japan, and Gab was lone on a ship directed to Egypt; while she was crying Ares appeared. They had a fight, but in the end the bard of Potidea was such desperate that she hugged the God of War. He comforted her so softly telling a story about a Crown of Glory: Xena had received it by archangels, because she become a perfect and holy warrior
In this fan fiction Ares and Gab have one thing in common: the love for Xena and the sorrow for her death. This thing push them to falling in love and next to have a sweetie child
The absolute protagonist of this originally fan fiction is beautiful, ambiguous and ironic Ares, as King of Gods, who learn to be a glorious and noble lord that protected the people that he loves. He had a double old secret power and he had occulted it for long time to the view of the gods and the humans, the Power of Fire; in fact he can save lives or kill his terrible enemies, for example demons, burning them in a moment
