  • Love Mary Chapin Carpenter! She was so gracious throughout this interview, too bad they had such an Incompetent person conducting the interview.

  • Such a great opportunity, wasted. Horrendous interviewer! I hope someone guides Shira Lazar into being a better interviewer, or at least a competent one!

  • Poor interviewer!!!! Of course she is "with MCC" on the shopping offer at the end...What else has been filling your head, woman, to make MMC waste her time on you like that...CBS please.. it is not just the looks!!!

  • This interviewer did NOT now her work. I felt bad for MCC., as it was obvious that this "shira" never did her homework. God bless Mary Chapin for not walking off.

  • Dear God, she must be the most inept presenter on TV, wonder who she slept with to get this gig!

  • @exhodag24 ...TOTALLY agree. the interviewer is a ditzzzzzzz

  • Scary! This interview, if you can call it that, is so deeply disturbing I thought it

was a April fools joke or adolescent prank. A silly, vacant, vapid, shallow

& ditsy, glammed-up little girl playing "dress-up" interviewing one

of the most mature and introspective as well as intelligent and gifted women

in art and music? How did MCC hold in there that long w/o snapping or

cracking up in complete hysterical laughter?! Shira Lazar

    6 May 1983 (age 27).

  • OMG! Who chose this interviewer? What an awkward exchange. Sounds like she prepared her questions for someone like Justin Beiber or some other underage teen "star". What a waste of a potentially enlightening moment with a brilliant mind like MCC. Poor Chapin. Poor us.

  • This is the worst interview ever.

  • What a terrible interviewer

  • When she said Country music artists make a lot of money, I thought Chapin was going to fall out of her chair! The look she gave her. I love Chapin and it is great to see her in any capacity, but this interviewer needs to be fired.

  • Suggestion to interviewer: do your homework before you interview.
