I think it's social conditioning... My personal opinion is that no one should even think about getting married or having kids until they are 27-28 when they start having a little bit of a clue as to who they are and what they want from life.

if a guy doesnt want kids..MOVE ON...what do you want to do? force a guy or cheat a way of having a kid witht his guy?..clearly a dumb move...what would result of that is pretty simple...

1 you would end being a single mom

it's so hard, and it really does have to do with low self esteem and not feeling like you can find another BETTER man who will love you AND want children. when it comes down to it, if you love children and he doesn't, deep down you really do have VERY VERY different values and desires. so at the core, how much do you really have in common? trust me. wanting a family is a big deal. be friends but yeah LOL send him a postcard of your new love, the man who wants to be a "daddy"

I just broke up with my girlfriend, as she always said she wanted kids in 2 years time, when she's 31. I'm 24, and not going to be ready for kids in that timeframe. I always figured about having kids when I finish studying, i.e. after my 28th b'day. So I broke up with her, and now she says she didn't want kids in 2 years but wanted to live together in 2 years and kids in +-4. I.e. she turned the whole story around, and now I feel I reacted too hastily and didn't talk about it properly.
