Honestly I think you got a shot on getting some money for this movie from the city. Check into it, i've heard up to 20 grand?

did you use the software given with the camera...i want to do timelapse video with my t1i as well but i dont want to lug around my laptop...is there anyway of getting around that?

I use the toolkit that comes with the camera just to batch resize. Then I use either Vegas or sometimes Live Mover Maker to put all into a video. You can do timelapse photography without your laptop, you just need to buy a timer. Google it, or search ebay/amazon.

Really cool vid. Ordered my T1i a couple of day ago, just wondering about the SD card now.. Is there anywhere I can get a 16 GIG class 10 card for a good price, or should I just go ahead and pay $100 for one? The price seems a bit steep, but what do I know... :-)

@nokolicious Im sure you'll love the T1i, nice choice. a Class 6 should be all you need for the camera. Check Ebay, if not Amazon usually beats most other places for price. New SD cards arent cheap sadly.

what mode and setting used for night shots?

Every night shoot is different. Depends on lighting, and what exactly Im trying to achieve. Most of the time I'm in manual mode for night shots, exposure time is key to play around with.
