Guarantee you his weight shifts because of what he's trying to with the club, hands, arms, swinging motion--as opposed to trying to move his weight to produce the swing.
I think it was Seymour Dunn who was the first one credited with saying one of the smartest things ever said about the swing: Never confuse something that happens with something you have to (try to) do.

What I find interesting is the difference in tempo between Elkington in the background and Couples even though they start swinging at the same time. And Elkington looks like he is using a wood to Couples' iron.

yeah its interesting you say that, when you look at video of him when he was younger he used to jus go at it flat out, thats a very interesting point u make about the driving accuracy, just shows how unfortunately its become a bombers game and the shot maker is slowly dying out. keep the videos coming and thanks for your comments!!

two fabulous swings, did u ever work with ELK carl?

is that ELK in the background?

A 2 for 1 with this video with dude behind Fred.
No, I never worked with Steve Elkington. I was at Star Pass, Tuscon Open, in 1987 and saw how far he could hit the ball. On one hole they had stripes like a football field and Davis Love III hit it 357 yds and Elkington out drove that ! It looks like he has spent his whold career trying to go slower. Notice the leader board at the Masters 2010 all long hitters and none of them are in the driving accuracy list except Fred. Carl Welty
