  • @rikkio my uncle served with u he past 9/8/11 he had more than enough purple hearts thank u for ur service

  • John Rimel is currently my 8th grade english teacher! its kinda weird that he wrote a #1 song.

  • Should have been a # 1 song and single of the year in 1989 for the Statler Brothers. The best song they ever recorded.

  • @STEVELOVESMARIA Thank you for the kind words. For remembering and caring. That's all we ever really wanted. And some dry socks, heh.

  • @Rikki0 Thank you for your service and may God bless you and your family. There isn't a day go by i don't say and extra prayer for you and everyone who has ever served our great nation. Again....THANK YOU!!!

  • @hotrod824, not all of my generation dishonored our brave warriors from nam, ilost an older cousin, my personal hero,in 68 the THET offensive ,the war was a political nightmare and wrong, but as always our poor and working class men and women had to do the dirty work, while our upper class and wealthy made money from their sacrifice. How many KENNEDYS or ROCKEFELLERSS etc. DIED in NAM? NOT ONE!!!

  • @istjusme It brings tears to my eyes too every time I hear it. I cannot help but think of my cousin that was killed in Vietnam in 1969. I was 15 years old at the time and have never gotten over it. The circumstances surrounding his death were horrible - not a battle related death. Those circumstances are shameful for this country and made his death even more unbearable.

  • @hotrod824 I served 70-71 UH-1 C/E door gunner. By what we went through coming home, we will not let it happen to any of the vets who come home NOW!! Maybe the country has learned from our time, that you can hate the WAR and love and honor the WARRIOR??!! WELCOM HOME BRO!!
