Scotch'n'Soda's production of Pippin at Carnegie Mellon University. This is a student run theatre production, not the drama department. Scotch'n'Soda premiere the original production of Pippin in 1967 before it went to Broadway.

This is Part 2 of Scene 5 and it contains the song Morning Glow as well as the bulk of the scene itself.

  • pippin should have a younger innocent voice... not a classically trained tenor.

  • Could be just the bad audio. But I agree that it should be "fresher".

  • 1:05 speech - love it!~

  • the ensemble should be singing pianissimo as back up for pippin not just as loud. additionally, pippin took no time to recover from "killing" his father which is unrealistic.

  • the part at 4:19 is my favorite part in this entire song, the chords are just beautiful. This is by far one of the best versions I have heard. Just BEAUTIFUL.

  • One of the most beautiful chorus performances I have ever heard!! Beautiful harmonies and balance. WOW! Pippin's mic needs to be turned up though.

  • Meh. He has a gorgeous voice, no matter what. His finale is stunning.

  • Some shows don't really allow for a break in the action, either.

  • Pippin doesn't have an intermission. An intermission has been added in subsequent shows, but wasn't present in it's 5 years on Broadway.

  • They made this show into a One Act. Wow! Thats a long show.
