This grotesque-techno-psychedelic, analog-synthesizer sequence likely would have ranked at the top of my scariness scale (regarding TV idents) if I had seen this as a little kid :)

But, I think it's fascinating, too...and on top of that, I think it really captures the artistic/political ethos of the late-1960s-to-early-1980s period of Western soul-searching for new knowledge paradigms couched within a time of multicultural awakening. It is historically significant especially for these reasons.

When I first saw this I was a little kid, probably about 5 or 6, and I didn't like this at all. All of the noise really kind of freaked me out in a way. :(
