Me in wistful karaoke mode, singing the theme song from the 1954 Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum Western The River of No Return. The 1950s was the golden age of the movie theme song, and this perfect little ballad is one of the very best of them. The original was sung by Monroe. I know, I'm not her. The excellent piano accompaniment here (I think) is from an instrumental track by Richard Clayderman--hence I haven't been able to fit in all the lyrics, namely the first two lines ('If you listen you can hear it call...' ), but most of them are here. The slideshow features assorted posters of the film, so if you don't like my voice, turn the volume down and enjoy the pictures.
