  • If I get you right, the positive leads from both speakers to the positive output of the amp and the negative leads from both speakers to the negative side of the the amp..

    If that is what you are saying then you have a parallel circuit, which will decrease the impedance ( ohms ) of the circuit, but will increase the power handling of the circuit..

    For example you have 2 eight ohm 60 watt speakers that you put in parallel. You get a 4 ohm circuit that can handle 120 watts. Hope this helps.

  • when you connect the two subs directly to the source, do both the wires need to be on the same plug(for lack of better terms) of the sources?
