@Bitesize1991 But it's still about how beauty is so darn important, when it isn't really.
It's important only if your entire self-worth is tied in with your beauty (natural or not), and you don't have the skills or the intelligence to be of any value any other way.

@antebellum Most natural pageants also have a larger interview part! So then they're also kinda tested on their knowledge and confidence and language skills:)

Well, of course megan wouldn't want to be smart.... she is nowhere near smart.. ;)
-
they all look so much prettier with no make up or costumes on
-
WHO THE HELL CALLS THEIR CHILD STORY?!
-
@wehhxo I think it's because it's implied that if you're smart then you're ugly (not pretty). You can tell she was thinking of saying it.

story is so cute. Too bad she looks like a street walker half the time.
-
OH MY GOD HER NAME IS STORY? wtf.

so cute chowder used to love that show
I actually think that the natural beauty pageant contest is not such a bad thing, because it teaches the little girls that you can be naturally pretty and not need a shit ton of makeup and fake hair to look beautiful.

I still have a bit of a problem with the natural pageant idea--just that such young girls are thrown into that kind of competition based purely on looks. (And that they also dress like 30-year-olds--I wish it had taken place in something more realistic than a ball gown). BUT, at least it teaches them that natural beauty is valuable and valued, something they'll hopefully learn more as they get older.
