NHL veteran goaltender Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers during the pre-game warm-up / practice at ScotiaBank Place in Ottawa on November 9, 2011 (Rangers @ Senators 11/9/11). Hank, a native from Are, Sweden (Sverige) was selected 205th overall in the 7th round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. Lundqvist was nominated for the Vezina Trophy in his first three seasons in the NHL and is the only goaltender in NHL history to record 30 wins in each of his first five seasons. Nicknamed King Henrik by the New York sports media, he led Sweden's national men's ice hockey team to the gold medal at the 2006 winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

@goalie1337 almost every goalie gets new pads and gloves every 1-3 months but they just get the same color scheme so you don't notice a difference

@goalie1337 nhl goalies go through about 4-6 set of pads a year, also alot of gloves. they have a practice glove and blocker wich has more protection and a game glove wich is less stiff
