There's nothing wrong with $250k year but with the avg median household income at $55k, please don't delude yourself into thinking you're an 'average Joe.' You're not. With that income, you're experiencing life differently than most. You probably have a large savings which gives you more certainty and allows longer term planning. You have no worries about paying bills or cars/appliances breaking down (unless you've been living above your means). Again $250k is great, but you're not average.
