Rorschach Audio 1

Rorschach Audio talk by Joe Banks (founder of the experimental music group Disinformation) at Hull Time Based Arts, 2 Feb 2004, part 1 of 4. The talk is a discourse on the psychology of the misinterpretation of speech, and a critique of Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) research. The original video has been edited to remove some 3rd party material used in the live demonstrations, however the overall sense of the presentation hopefully remains intact.

"Audio Rorschach" (aka "Rorschach Audio") was introduced by the writer Erik Davis (author of "Techgnosis", published by Serpents Tail) who can be seen in the audience. Thanks to everyone who came along and to all at Hull Time Based Arts. The term "Rorschach Audio" also describes phenomena like Back-Masking and Chinese Whispers, etc.
