scarred10 - Just so you are aware, i have seen Hanshi Alexander spar and I trained with hm. He is the real thing. He is a very motivated Karate-ka and loves to share his knowledge with others who are interested. He also likes to keep the art / hobby/ alive and fun. I believe if you look deeper, you will see he has a lot to offer on the technical side and the academic side form his books and DVD's.

fast and agile for a 60 yrsold overweight man but theres no way he did 50 of those 3 min rounds. The partners were useless fatchaps and novices(especially the black belt) and the sparring a game of tag but its obiously kept him nimble when others his age are falling apart.

Wish you all the best..:-)

On the one hand, I don't see any "fighting"... I see some out of shape guys point sparring. That's nowhere near the same thing. On the other, Mr. Alexander is 60 years old.
The fact that he could still do this at 60 is impressive but we could do without the self serving comments. Why does he find it important to let everyone know that he is commemorating his promotion to 10th Dan. Who is promoting him? I admire George for his ability and life long commitment but hey there big guy, lets be honest, 10th dan.

Zen: After 48 years in the martial arts my promotion was signed by Sensei Seifuku Nitta, 10th dan and Sensei Seiki Toma, 10th dan. As there is no test for this rank, I felt the need to do something to commemorate the event. This only happens once in your lifetime. In fact, it's something to be proud of. It's like graduating from college. Would you not tell anybody about it? Would the college not have a commencement exercise? Thanks for the kudos but Just felt the need to correct this part.
