Another one of Arvin's transistor radios. Columbus Indiana is a city known for its stunning mid-century designs, and I think much of that was instilled in Arvin's radios.

This particular handheld portable is chrome with chestnut leather accents. Powered by four AA batteries.

  • i had one of these radios when i was growing up. i have been looking for one like this for 40 years. it is funny i just decided to look it up on line and it was the first one that cam up. where can i fine one i can buy. mine was black. mine needed some repair took it to a shop to get it fixed and the man went out of business. so it was lost.

  • Wow! I have this radio. It was a favorite of my dad who is now 88. However, there is a defect in dad's. I had never thought about the Columbus connection. I drove to Columbus daily for 5 years to do Cummins work. Don't know how I survived.
