Maverick Well Service running 2 3/8" tubing back in an oil well in the East Texas Oil Field. This well produces out of the Woodbine formation at a depth of 3,600'.

  • Awsum video. Sure is diffrent rigging in Texas as compared to Alberta. No B.O.P.s and no coveralls. Up here that would be grounds for the rig to get run off.

    The no B.O.P.'s is very rare. A lot of rigs don't run them on the East Texas Woodbine wells because the field is watered out and has minimal bottom hole pressure.

  • Just curious - why is the floorhand swinging the elevators when the operator starts back up the derrick with the blocks?

    So when the blocks get to the top, they will be a little bit closer to him to latch onto the pipe on the move.
