Part III of my post: The fact that desperation of such magnitude exists in the world is not only reprehensible but itself wrong. The idea that women love prostitution as a career or choose it like you choose to be a doctor or lawyer - be real. Even cleaning streets is better and safer than prostitution.
Making prostitution legal doesn't mean that the trafficking will stop. It will continue.
It will always continue as long as there is social and economic injustice and huge disparity of wealth.
-
Oops! I noticed an error in my post! I meant to say that we would be animals to think that ANY trafficking is acceptable. It is dubious to assume that women WANT to be prostitutes when they are starving or otherwise unable to find work or a way to support themselves. We cannot judge from our plush overstuffed armchairs in America what would drive a woman in Armenia to head to Dubai to prostitution: I can only imagine that she must be very desperate.
-
I am disheartened at some of the comments here - in general. We know that there is illegal (nonconsensual) trafficking of human beings worldwide. The point is this: we would be animals to argue that trafficking is wrong. We also miss the mark to say this or that trafficking situation is worse than another: THEY ARE ALL BAD. IT TAKES COURAGE TO DOCUMENT THIS STUFF. I'M GLAD THIS VIDEO EXISTS! We should all be!
-
It's even worse when the authorities are not only turning a blind eye, but feeding into it. This drastically multiplies the danger that these women face and of those who capture it. :-( Thanks for showing this.
Give us all a break cipslim. What is on the video is what Dubai is really about. And as for one only being able to walk alone at 3 in the morning in Dubai, you can only do this if you are a man. Women don't dare walk alone at any hour for fear of being picked up by the police. Your Dubai and the UAE in general is a backwards place that need to be exposed for what it is as the video shows. And guess what, anyone (including women) can walk the streets of Armenia at any house without fear.

What a bunch of loonies posting here. The only reason prostitution is a dirty business is that it is illegal. If it was legal and regulated by the government like any other business all parties involved would be legitimate and held to high standards. Men like to screw, men of every race, creed color and nationality, get over it.

See my comment below that talks about prostitues and persons trafficked and forced into prostitution. Even if prostitution was legal, enjoying having sex with someone who is forced into having sex is immoral. If you agree with this, then take a long good look in the mirror when talking about who is a loonie.

Did you not pay attention to the women interviewed? If someone is forced than of course that is wrong. Those women were not forced. My point is, if it was legal, there would be no need to force anyone to do that. Places where it is legal you don't see much of that dirty business going on. And yes I do know from experience. Places like America, and the Middle East, where religious zealots run the show you see a lot of people exploited for a number of things. Including sexual slavery.

If you paid attention, you have noticed that the two girls at the end told of how they were tricked into coming to Dubai.

If is it allowe to take in cameras, why is it that one time I had a camera with me and they made me leave it at the door? And please tell if you learned about this problem of trafficking from Gulf-News? And please tell me why is it that the UAE has blocked hetqDOTam? Your in the UAE, try to access hetqDOTam and tell us what message you get?
