For the new economy to grow sustainably it will have to become holistic, i.e. corporations will have to be responsible for the costs they incur on society. If corporations can't or won't take responsibility for their costs (pollution of air, water & land, war to provide resource flow with attendant security problems) then the larger society will be forced to come up with viable solutions or alternatives.

Note (added 6/20/09): don't make any new investments until a double bottom or inverse head and shoulders right shoulder is formed. In other words until the Dow drops back down to between 6500-8000.

  • I think if the corporations grow and jobs happen it will be as a result of the greening of the corporate mindset, which is happening at an increasingly rapid pace even as we speak. It would also help if some kind of universal healthcare comes about since the present system is choking the entrepreneurial spirit in this country -- small businesses can't afford to hire, new businesses can't even get off the ground because of the expense of healthcare.

  • This is an old video but, I just found you. I know little about the stock market, but I like the way you explain things as more and more I need to learn with audio and visual. Reading just doesn't seem to work as well for me atm. So, also, thanks for the movie links. Also, do you really think the corporations and jobs will happen, if so, when?
