The magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck northern Sichuan province in Southwest China on 12 May 2008. It's the biggest natrual disaster for three decates in this country, caused nearly 80,000 (or more) death, uncountable injuries and more than 5,000,000 homeless refugees...
The earthquake happend at 14:28 when most of students in schools were in their classrooms, as a tragic result, so many children couldn't escape...

The Chinese government did the extraordinary work for rescure operations in large scale in the shortest time, the number of the People's Liberation Army assembled in the region broke the records of the Chinese military history since 1949.

  • I was in hong kong at the time, there were after shocks, at one point everyone in thier cars sounded thier horns for the victims of this disaster
