Dude; there's not really a reasonable way for him to drive the output section of a 140 watt tube amp without an attenuator.

hey, would you mind posting a vid of the dod fx 17 (in wah mode) with a high gain lead setting on the amp.

Hmm...to my ears, channel 2 is already pretty tight and midrangy. It's already got that natural tube compression.
My recommendation: Turn off the DS-1. Turn down the preamp and turn up the master volume. It'll be louder but it'll sound better. You'll be saturating the output tubes more. It'll sound warmer.
For additional overdrive, try a vintage 808 tube screamer (or some modified form of the 808 circuit). You might look into a SignaDrive. You can find demos of those on YouTube.
Why on earth would you defile that gorgeous Orange tone with a DS-1?!?!
Watch my video response. I'll show you what an AD140 and an SG are supposed to sound like.

the DS-1 tightens up the sound a bit, in person it sounds phenomenal, the problem lies in the recording and equipment and the room it was recorded in, I use a light amount of overdrive and distortion so as to not ruin the initial tone
