@LiberalshateAmerica you are very uninformed. DDt is not just pesticide against bugs. DDT is everywhere around us. DDE - form of DDT is xenoestrogene - it means DDE change reproductive systems of animals . There are lot of problems . Changed forms of DDT (DDE , DDD) were also found in north atlantic, but they never used DDT!

@LiberalshateAmerica it is worse to use DDT than ban it. this is the whole point you're missing here. if you actually did read the book, and did the research and knew all of the facts and still said that banning DDT is worse than using it, then your opinion would be different. however, because you are negligent, you are ignorant and uninformed. Due to this fact, you form biased opinions, and I can already tell by your username and your opinion that you are a far right extremist.

What happens with DDT is that it actually accumulates over time in the fatty tissues of carnivores that eat smaller animals that eat smaller animals that have been poisoned with DDT. Even though it doesn't affect us directly, eating poisoned animals does (hint: more of us would be dead).

jenny- 30 million people around the world have died because of the UN banning DDT. The UN just lifted the ban in some countries. A child was dying every 30 seconds for 30 years because of liberal nutjobs like carson who helped get DDT banned. Good going!
