  • @MrJayBBluejay I'm sure that you're right, and thanks for the comment--it reminded me of this version,so I've played it again another dozen times! My first Connie Smith CD arrived at Xmas. I'll have to find one with "Invisible Tears" on it.

  • @vanguard1952 I think that the Connie that had a hit with this song in 1960 (Connie Francis, born Concetta Rosa Marie Franconero) would be proud of this version by this Connie (Connie Smith, born Constance June Meador).

  • Loved it! Nice delivery!

  • yea woodchucks325 sure wish they did then country would be country

  • Loved this album. They don't make music like this anymore.

  • Connie is the one of the big voice singers in the 60-70s, like Martina McBride in recent days. Amazing where the energy came from ... as she was not bulky.

I also admire how she pronounces the lyrics so courteously.

  • So simply done. What a wonderful voice!

  • Absolutely brilliant. I'd never heard this version before. She's a class act--just going to listen again! (Serious Connie Francis fan.)
