@vanguard1952 I think that the Connie that had a hit with this song in 1960 (Connie Francis, born Concetta Rosa Marie Franconero) would be proud of this version by this Connie (Connie Smith, born Constance June Meador).
Connie is the one of the big voice singers in the 60-70s, like Martina McBride in recent days. Amazing where the energy came from ... as she was not bulky.
I also admire how she pronounces the lyrics so courteously.
